I gave an overview of Chapter 14 today.  Then I broke the class into pairs.  Each pair was assigned one visual to present to the class.  The presentation must consist of the following:

1. a poster with bullets explaining the appropriate uses of the visual 
2. an explanation of ways to create the visual
3. a computer-generated example of the visual (made in class) 

We will finish preparing the presentations on Friday.  Hopefully, we’ll begin presenting that day as well.

A few of you had questions about maps.  I have been searching the web for an easy-to-use program, and I found a week-long trial of SmartDraw.  I’ve downloaded the trial software on my laptop, and I’ll show it to you on Friday.
