Today I checked proposals. Corrected proposals should be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 19. We talked briefly about note-taking and outlining. We will discuss these processes more on Wednesday. We also completed the course evaluation survey today, so class was a little shorter than normal.

We browsed resources and documented them in APA format again today. We’ll be finishing this activity on Friday.
Your research proposal is due on Monday, March 17. The instructions for the proposal are located on page 640 in your book–refer to item #1-h. You must submit a memo to me in which you discuss your research question and method of analysis (approaches are summarized on page 639). You must also turn in a tentative bibliography (a list of five sources in APA format).
Today we worked on locating resources for the research report. Students located at least one resource and correctly documented it in APA format. We used NCLive to find articles.
A total of five resources are required for this research report. We will continue browsing for resources on Wednesday.

We continued working on the collaboration activity we began last Friday. Nearly every student’s bio has been posted on the blog in the post below. Several students have already responded with their choice of four people with whom they feel they might work well. Several students have also completed the detailed self-assessment and submitted it to me. Most students have found and printed the code of ethics for their profession.
We will wrap up all of these loose ends on Wednesday. Then we will begin to look at Chapters 7 and 8, which focus on research. Have a good early week!
